2 DAY DESERT TOUR ITINERARY FROM FES TO MERZOUGA

Day 1Fes – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

The first day of 2 Day Desert Tour from Fes to Merzouga, will start drive to south-east through the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas, passing by Moroccan Switzerland” IFRANE”, a charming ski resort and Azrou an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. After the Zad pass (2,178m/7,146ft) you arrive in Midelt for lunch.

Afternoon you will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia the 1000 Palms of Ziz valley dotted with palm trees. Continuation to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing from the road of Paris Dakar, the workshop of fossils, tent of Berber Nomad who living in the solitude of the Sahara.

Arrive to the stunning accommodation rest for a while before taking the next journey which is camel trek. now you will ride camel and head to the high sand dune to watch the sunset. Thereafter, you will ride back the camels with to the camp and here you spend the night in the lodge in a Berber tent. In addition, you will be playing drums with local people.

Day 2 Merzouga – Ziz valley – Fes

Today, it will be great to get up early to watch the sunrise in the dunes. After a delicious breakfast, back on the same way to Fes via Erfoud, ziz valley and Middle Atlas to reach Midelt where you have break for lunch. Later on, continue toward Azrou cedar forest, arrive in the late afternoon and drop you off at your hotel/riad in Fes.
