We stop in Ouarzazate”” The Hollywood of Africa” where there are many studios and Kasbahs, many films have been filmed here as well. for lunch, before continue to Skoura to visit the Amredhyle kasbah, then to kalaa m’gouna, famous for rose fields and rose products, in addition it knows for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May.
Then go on to Dades valley where you will enjoy seeing the beautiful rocks formation called” the monkey fingers”. check into your accommodation in the middle of Dades Gorges.
After breakfast, we start our day with a drive towards the Todra Gorges where many of rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. later we continue our journey, following the ancient Bedouin trading routes parallel with the Middle Atlas, passing a series of the fortified villages with outstanding pre-Saharan architecture. The route to Erfoud is one of the most pleasing of all the Southern routes.
The town is in a dry red built of desert and was built by the French as a central administration town. It is known for its rich black fossils. We head down to the spectacular Merzouga dunes where sand dunes signify the start of the mighty Sahara Desert. We take a camel ride into the desert to enjoy sunset before back to our camp.
To seal this as an experience of a life time why not surf the Sahara Desert and try sand Dunes Boarding. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert high perhaps with traditional Berber music.
During, the day eight of 10 days in Morocco, we decide to explore the Sahara Desert area. Firstly, get up early to see the sunrise, over the sand dune nearby your camp. after breakfast and shower, you explore the Majestic Merzouga sand dunes will start with visit an oasis near dunes. continue to enjoy a cup of tea with the nomad family, thereafter we’ll stop by Mefiss, its de place where a lot of kohl and minerals were found and exported to France.
Later on, we head off towards khamlia village, via the wonderful panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi. visit the Gnawa House, it’s an ethnic group best known for their music, which is rich repertoire of ancient African-Islamic spiritual songs. After lunch, we’ll complete the tour, visiting one fantastic Lake or called Tifart.
On the route you might meet some desert animals such as sand Foxe Goats, etc. from here, you have choice the spend the night in hotel in the village or back to the camp for second night.
In early morning you will enjoy a magical sunrise in the dunes, after breakfast and shower we leave to Fes via Erfoud, ziz valley and Middle Atlas to join Midelt where we have time for lunch. Later, continue toward Azrou cedar forest you have the possibility to see some apes, then we will drive to Fes and drop off in your hotel.
