4 DAY TOUR ITINERARY OUARZAZATE TO MERZOUGA

Day 1Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley

We will start our 4 Day Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga, with visit Ouarzazate” the hollywood of africa”, where there are many studios and Kasbahs. Also, many films have been filmed here. Before continue to skoura to visit the kasbah Amridil. Then, to kalaa m’gouna, famous for rose fields and rose products. In addition, it knows for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May. Later, go on to Dades valley where you will enjoy seeing the beautiful rocks formation called” the monkey fingers”. Check into your accommodation in the middle of Dades gorges.

Day 2Dades valley – Todra gorges -Erfoud – Merzouga

Today, you will leave Dades gorge to Tinghir town, enjoying the beautiful landscape and Berber villages along the way to Todra gorges, After a short walk in the gorges you will continue your journey to Merzouga via Tinjdad and Erfoud famous for its fossils, arrive at your accommodation in Merzouga, you will be welcomed with a glass of tea, before getting ready for the camel ride to enjoy an amazing sunset in heart of Erg Chebbi dunes. After, back to your camp for dinner, also you will enjoy the Berber music around bonfire, sleep under 1000 of stars.

Day 3 Merzouga Adveture

Get up early to see the sunrise, over the sand dune nearby your acmp. After breakfast and shower, you explore the Majestic Merzouga sand dunes. Start with visit an oasis near dunes. Continue to enjoy a cup of tea with the nomad family. Thereafter, we’ll stop by Mefiss, its de place where a lot of kohl and minerals were found and exported to France. Later, we head off towards khamlia village, via the wonderful panoramic view of the Erg chebbi.

Visit the Gnawa House, it’s an ethnic group best known for their music, which is rich repertoire of ancient African-Islamic spiritual songs. After lunch, we’ll complete the tour, visiting one fantastic Lake or called Tifart. On the route you might meet some desert animals such as Sand Foxe Goats, etc. Now you have choice to spend the night in hotel in the village or back to the camp for second night.

Day 4Merzouga – Rissani – Nkob – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Hight Atlas – Marrakech

Today, it will be great to wake up early to enjoy a magical sunrise in the dunes. Then, head back to your camp for breakfast and shower, before leave to Marrakech via Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, the village of Nkob where you will have time for lunch, pass from Draa valley to Agdaz. In the Afternoon cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach your hotel/riad in Marrakech.

Merzouga to Marrakech distance is 560 Km. However, the last day of the 3-day Ouarzazate to Merzouga Desert Tour includes a lot of driving. So, if you have enough time in Morocco, we’d advise you to book a 4-day or 5-day desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga.

No, you don’t need a sleeping bag, you will stay at an equipped desert camp with all amenities.

If you prefer to stay in a standard tent the shower and toilets are shared, but if you choose to upgrade to a luxury desert camp, you will have a private shower and toilet inside your tent.

How to book and pay?

To confirm This tour, we require a small deposit to be paid over PayPal to our account, the balance is payable in cash at the pick-up, to be paid to your driver in euros, or equal in dollars or dirhams.
Usually, we request balance payments in cash because PayPal also has many transaction fees and operational delays since it’s a world institution. Also, we can in some cases accept the complete payment via PayPal however a 5% fee is going to be applied to hide the additional transaction charges.
