5 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

This private 5 Days Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour starts After breakfast, we drive to south-eastward passing by Moroccan Switzerland” IFRANE” a charming ski resort. After that, through the cedar woods of the middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop for pictures of wild monkeys on the Cedar forests before arriving at Errachidia  and the 1000 Palms of Ziz valley with small kasbahs.

Continuation to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing from Erfoud, the workshop of fossils, Tent of Berber Nomad who living in the solitude of the Sahara, after continuation to our camp in the desert. Arrive the stunning accommodation rest for a while before get ready to take the next journey which is camel trek. Now you will ride camel and head to the high sand dune to watch the sunset. After then, you will ride back the camels to the camp where you will spend 1nd night in the lodge in a Berber tent, and you will be playing drums after dinner.

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then start your second day of our 5 Days desert trip Fes to Marrakech, to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas and fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities. Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine.

Then, we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a local restaurant specialized in Berber pizza. After that, we take a stroll in palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the sand dunes. Afterwards, you will back to your camp for breakfast and shower. Thereafter, we depart towards tinghir passing by Tafilalet, Erfoud and tinejdad. After a break for lunch, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tinghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons while hiking on foot, and finally arrive in the Dades Valley.

Today, we start our 5 Day desert trip Fes to Marrakech with visiting El Kalaa Mgouna rose town where more than 400 tones of rose petals are picked every spring to be processed into rosewater or exported to perfume industries. The festival of roses is held here every May. As we travel from Rose town to Skoura you will see many kasbahs. The small town of Skoura is surrounded by thousands of palm groves and the most beautiful kasbahs in southeast Morocco are found here.

We will visit one of this kasbahs wich is Kasbah Amridil. Continue our journey to Ouarzazate” Hollywood of Africa” with one of the biggest cinema studios in Morocco, then to the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou A UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in hotel in the village.

the last day of our Fes to Marrakech 5 Day desert trip, start with visit the Ait ben haddou kasbah. here where many famous movies have been shot such as: prince of Persia, Gladiator, Babel…etc. later we head to Marrakech via high Atlas Mountains (2260m), admiring the impressive mountain’s sides. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Drop off in your hotel/riad.
