OUARZAZATE TO MERZOUGA 3 DAYS TOUR'S ITINERARY

Day 1Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades valley – Todra gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will leave to Skoura to visit Kasbah Ameridil. Then, to kalaa m’gouna, famous for rose fields and rose products, which is also known for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May. Go on to Dades pause for pictures in Dades valley. Later, to Tinghir town, you will admire the beautiful landscaping and Berber villages along the way to Todra Gorges.

Thereafter, a short walk in the gorges, we will continue our journey to Merzouga, via Tinjdad and Erfoud famous for its fossils. Arrive at our accommodation in Merzouga and you will be welcomed with a glass of tea. Now you have a choice, to walk around the village or climb the dunes to watch the sunset.

Day 2 Explore Merzouga Area

After breakfast, we are going to explore around Merzouga, start with an oasis near the village. Continue to Fantastic Lake or called Tifart, where many birds stop to rest during their travel from north to south or reverse. On the route to the nomad’s family, you might meet some desert animals such as desert foxes, Goats, …etc. After a cup of tea with them, will continue to Mefiss, it’s the place where a lot of kohl and minerals were found and exported to france.

Later, we head off towards Khamlia village, via the wonderful panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi. Visit the Gnawa House, an ethnic group best known for its music and a rich repertoire of ancient African-Islamic spiritual songs. You might try a Berber pizza in a local restaurant in this village. Thereafter, go back to your hotel for shower and rest a bit, before getting ready for the camel ride to enjoy the amazing sunset in the middle of Erg Chebbi dunes, after back to your camp for dinner. Also, you will enjoy the Berber music around the campfire and sleep under 1000 stars.

Day 3Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdez – Ouarzazate

After a magical sunrise in the dunes, breakfast and shower we will leave Merzouga on the way back to Ouarzarete via Rissani, where there is a local market each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and the village of Nkob where you will have time for lunch, pass from Draa valley to Agdaz. Arrive in the Afternoon to your accommodation.
